Description
Counselling Psychology Level 5 qualification consists of competencies that a counsellor must achieve to enable him/her to assess the client, provide basic counselling services, provide psychological first aid services, and perform administrative duties for counselling services.
Entry Requirements
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- National Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of D (plain)
Or
- Counselling Psychology Certificate Level 4 (artisan)
Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
And/or
- As may be guided by relevant regulatory body.
CERTIFICATION An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To be awarded National Certificate in Counselling Psychology Level 5 an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency. These certificates will be awarded by TVET CDACC in conjunction with the training provider.
