The Social work and Community Development Level 5 qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her work in social work industry. It involves conduct social research works, performing psychosocial support, conducting social policy formulation and public administration, managing project resources, conducting community awareness activities, conflicting resolution and management, performing home-based care and support, carrying out child welfare programs, managing community-based groups and conducting community crisis and disaster sensitization programs.
Entry Requirements
An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
- Social work Artisan Certificate Level 4
Or
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE D+)
Or
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
And/or
- As may be guided by relevant regulatory body.
Certification
An individual will be awarded a Certificate of Competency on demonstration of competence in a unit of competency. To be awarded National Certificate in Social Work Level 5, an individual must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency.
TVET CDACC will award these certificates in conjunction with World Radiance Bible College.
